Computer Sciences Corporation was contracted by First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB) to perform the merger of Barclay's Bank and the Canadian International Bank of Commerce into FCIB. The GL Conversion Team was responsible for the successful conversion of General Ledgers from three disparate legacy systems into one current system - GEAC SmartStream. The mergers occurred across sixteen (16) different countries, spanning twenty (20) different currencies.
Accomplishments -Personally responsible for the completion, enhancement, troubleshooting, and maintenance of software that converted over 170 billion dollars of assets from 3 different General Ledger systems into GEAC SmartStream. -Developed tools in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access utilizing Excel and Access automation as well as adjunct Visual Basic Code and revised procedures to increase efficiency and to reduce potential errors during this process. These tools allowed for non invasive examination of the data within SmartStream while maintaining operational and data integrity. -Assisted the FCIB Treasury group in the development of Cognos cubes from their Data Warehouse data. -Reduced the testing cycle of each of the conversions from days to minutes by leveraging system functionality via Microsoft Excel Automation, Microsoft Access, and Visual Basic code to ensure proper account mapping between SmartStream and the incoming data feeds. -Was the impetus for the re-architecture of the Central Bank Reporting project at First Caribbean utilizing SQL Server DTS Packages, Visual Basic Code, and MS Excel Macros/VBA Code. These applications, through various interfaces, test the system hardware and software over long periods of time and monitor and report on the results. Prior to the specific modifications made, it was necessary to rebuild and recompile the test suite each time a configuration parameter change was required.

System Architect; The Computer System Support group was responsible for writing custom software and maintaining all installed desktop and server software for Global Treasury Risk Management. The System Architect was the designer and lead developer of the RCredit commercial credit request system. This system allowed for the immediate approval of commercial credit requests and/or requests for letters of credit from worldwide markets. Prior to the development of this system, requests took an average of three (3) to five (5) days to process.
