The Trade Promotions IT Staff is responsible for the maintenance of the current trade promotion system, CPiSales.

CaseCentral is one of Inc. Magazines top growing companies specializing in litigation documentary support. The Electronic Conversion (eConversion) team is responsible for the restoration, discovery, and distribution of data delivered by clients in support of their litigation efforts. The Team processes a phenomenal amount of data through secure and efficient means.

Accomplishments
-Produced the first of many automation projects using Ascential DataStage, Bash-Shell Scripting, and Python
-Developed tools and procedures to reduce human error and to perform automated QC checks using Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, MSExcel Macros/VBA Code, MSAccess VBA Code and Bash-Shell Scripting
-Greatly reduced the need for manual monitoring in the restoration processes, thus increasing efficiency of the entire team due to the addition of automated QC Checks of data in SQL Server and other process improvements.
-Developed numerous adjunct scripts and tools to assist with the daily eConversion operations, including automation of several reports via MSExcel VBA Code/Macros and VB automation.
-Produced functional specifications and key stored procedures and scripts for automated exception reporting
-Managed the creation of data exports in a timely manner
-Provided technical expertise in the establishment and maintenance of complex data transformations using both SQL Server DTS packages and Ascential DataStage ETL Tool.

Computer Sciences Corporation was contracted by First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB) to perform the merger of Barclay's Bank and the Canadian International Bank of Commerce into FCIB. The GL Conversion Team was responsible for the successful conversion of General Ledgers from three disparate legacy systems into one current system - GEAC SmartStream. The mergers occurred across sixteen (16) different countries, spanning twenty (20) different currencies.

Accomplishments

-Personally responsible for the completion, enhancement, troubleshooting, and maintenance of software that converted over 170 billion dollars of assets from 3 different General Ledger systems into GEAC SmartStream.
-Developed tools in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access utilizing Excel and Access automation as well as adjunct Visual Basic Code and revised procedures to increase efficiency and to reduce potential errors during this process. These tools allowed for non invasive examination of the data within SmartStream while maintaining operational and data integrity.
-Assisted the FCIB Treasury group in the development of Cognos cubes from their Data Warehouse data.
-Reduced the testing cycle of each of the conversions from days to minutes by leveraging system functionality via Microsoft Excel Automation, Microsoft Access, and Visual Basic code to ensure proper account mapping between SmartStream and the incoming data feeds.
-Was the impetus for the re-architecture of the Central Bank Reporting project at First Caribbean utilizing SQL Server DTS Packages, Visual Basic Code, and MS Excel Macros/VBA Code. Produced the system designs, concepts, and system prototype for this project.
-Provided varying levels of Microsoft Access and SQL database application and Microsoft Excel Macro/VBA development support to the SFI, RCB, and Testing work streams.
-Was frequently referred to as the -Go to Guy- and was a mission critical asset in the success of the project.

Medrad is a worldwide leader in innovative medical devices. The Test Development Team is responsible for creating applications to assist in the run-in testing of these devices. These applications, through various interfaces, test the system hardware and software over long periods of time and monitor and report on the results. It is the responsibility of the Senior Programmer/Analyst to make modifications to these applications. Prior to the specific modifications made, it was necessary to rebuild and recompile the test suite each time a configuration parameter change was required.

Accomplishments

-Responsible for creating new functionality for the team-s Visual Basic Module Runin application.
-Incorporated extensibility into the application by allowing the reconfiguring of the test suite
-Reduced rework by approximately 33%.
-Responsible for the expansion of the system to allow for the launch of the appropriate test suite based upon input criteria received from bar coded information on the specific unit being tested, thus reducing the setup time and potential data entry errors for each test being performed.
-Developed several tools with MSOffice automation/VBA Code to assist the team in preparing their code and documentation for source code review and analysis which significantly reduced the length of the team-s testing cycles.

Independent Consultant - Bank of America
System Architect;
The Computer System Support group was responsible for writing custom software and maintaining all installed desktop and server software for Global Treasury Risk Management. The System Architect was the designer and lead developer of the RCredit commercial credit request system. This system allowed for the immediate approval of commercial credit requests and/or requests for letters of credit from worldwide markets. Prior to the development of this system, requests took an average of three (3) to five (5) days to process.

Accomplishments

-Was responsible for all phases of the project; including conceptual design, database design, ASP coding, JavaScript coding, SQL Stored Procedure/Trigger development, user interface design and coding, and interaction with the user community.
-Designed and built intranet-based interface with strong front end input validation
-Designed and built a Visual Basic interface integrated with Microsoft Outlook to allow management of those requests that could not be immediately approved
-Designed and built a Crystal Reports based reporting engine to allow for statistical management reporting.
-Trained several members of the staff in Visual Basic application development.
-Managed two other BofA programmers during the building of this system.
